TSLA News: OS 6.0 Update Will Allow iPhone to Start Tesla Model S

Owners of an Apple (AAPL) iPhone will soon be able to their Tesla Motors (TSLA) Model S.

Reports claim that the Tesla app to start and unlock your Model S will use the iPhone’s Touch ID feature to scan a person’s fingerprints. This will allow users to use their iPhone to start and unlock their Model S cars without having to worry about thieves using it to steal the vehicle, International Business Times notes.

Other new features being added in the OS 6.0 software update for the Tesla Model S include a calender app for use in the car and better map and navigation software, reports .
