Fingerprints: Apple (AAPL) users that , reports MacRumors. A Circuit Court judge in Virginia ruled that fingerprints aren’t protected by the Fifth Amendment. The Fifth Amendment protects people from witnessing against themselves by being forced to give up passwords and such. However, iPhones have an extra security feature that requires them to be unlocked with a passcode if Touch ID hasn’t been used in 48 hours. There is also protection against multiple attempts to guess a user’s passcode.
Office
: Microsoft (MSFT) has announced that , AppleInsider notes. The new Office for Mac will bring updates to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. Following these beta tests, the new Office for Mac will be released in the second half of 2015. This will be the first time that the software has gotten an upgrade since 2010. Previous rumors claim that the new software will take advantage of Retina displays.
Bendgate: Apple , reports BGR. One Reddit user claims to have bought an iPhone 6 Plus that seems different than the smartphones released in the first week of its launch. The user claims his wife has a 6 Plus from the first week of release that has the weak spot near the volume buttons. He also claims that he just bought a 6 Plus and that this weak spot may be gone. He said that he flicked the two devices in the same spot and listened with a stethoscope. The man claims that the new 6 Plus sounds much more dull, which could mean its more solid than the original model.
