Facebook (FB) to its website, but that doesn’t mean it’s stopping with just a “Like” button.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that he has been considering adding a Dislike button to the social media network since 2010. However, he said it shouldn’t be used to vote against other users’ posts, reports Time.
Instead of just adding a Dislike button, Zuckerberg said he wants to do it in the right way. He wants users to be able to express themselves, but in such a way that it can’t be used for negative reasons,
Time notes.
“Often people will tell us they don’t feel comfortable pressing ‘like,'” Zuckerberg told . “What’s the right way to make it so people can easier express a wide range of emotions?”
FB shares were up 1% as of Friday afternoon.
