Study: (Even More) Teens Leaving Facebook

A new study claims that Facebook (FB) behind.

According to research by Frank N. Magid Associates, Facebook usage from teens age 13 to 17 has fallen to 88% in 2014. This is a 7% drop when compared to 2012’s 95%. However, the social media platform continues to be popular with older users and is still them most popular among similar services, reports Bloomberg.

A similar study published earlier this month by GlobalWebIndex also claimed that teens weren’t signing onto Facebook as much. 54% of teens involved in the study said they didn’t log into the service as much due to a “lack of interest”,

notes.

Other social media platforms, such as Twitter (TWTR) and Snapchat, have seen an increase in teen users. Twitter usage by teens is up to 48%, a 2% increase, and 86% of Snapchat’s users are teens, reports Bloomberg.
