Facebook (FB) showed off virtual reality headset at an event on Thursday.
Facebook didn’t actually offer a demonstration of the commercial version of the Oculus Rift, but it did point out the new upgrades and changes that had been made to the device.

- A new controller called the “Oculus Touch” was revealed.
- The strap to hold the device on is heavier in the back, which makes the front feel lighter.
- The headset has been changed to offer improved audio.
- The device will need a wire connection to a computer due to the large amounts of data it sends back and forth.
- Owners will be able to use Microsoft’s (MSFT) Xbox One controller with the Oculus Rift.
- It’s estimated that the device will cost when taking into account for the PC that would be needed to use it.
