6 Things to Know About the Facebook Oculus Rift Headset

Facebook (FB) showed off virtual reality headset at an event on Thursday.

  • A new controller called the “Oculus Touch” was revealed.
  • The strap to hold the device on is heavier in the back, which makes the front feel lighter.
  • The headset has been changed to offer improved audio.
  • The device will need a wire connection to a computer due to the large amounts of data it sends back and forth.
  • Owners will be able to use Microsoft’s (MSFT) Xbox One controller with the Oculus Rift.
  • It’s estimated that the device will cost when taking into account for the PC that would be needed to use it.
