Monday Apple Rumors: Is TextEdit Coming to iOS?

Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

Apple Rumors, TextEdit, iOS, AAPLTextEdit: Apple (AAPL) , reports MacRumors. The company was holding its “What’s New in Metal” presentation and was using an iPad for it. During the presentation, some noticed that the iPad had an icon for an app called TextEdit. TextEdit is the company’s text editing app for Mac, but it’s never been released on iOS before. The fact that it showed up on an iPad may mean its coming with the release of iOS 10.

: , Engadget notes. The leak includes several images that were posted by a smartphone repair shop in China and one of the parts shows off a 3.5mm headphone jack. It’s long been rumored that Apple would remove the headphone jack for the iPhone 7 in favor of Lightning headphones. The leaked parts also show double SIM card trays, which may allow iPhone 7 owners to have SIM cards for use with different wireless carriers.

MacBook: , reports AppleInsider. This has the company removing the non-Retina versions of the computers from show floors in what may be an attempt to make room for new versions of the MacBook that are rumored to be coming out later this year. These legacy MacBook computers that are being pulled from AAPL’s store were the last iteration of the device to still include an optical drive.
