Here are your Apple Rumors for today:
Pay: Apple (AAPL) , reports MacRumors. The expansion makes France the eighth country to receive support for Pay. Those living in France can use the service if they have a Mastercard Inc (NYSE:MA) or Visa Inc (NYSE:
V) credit or debit card through Banque Populaire, Carrefour Banque, Caisse d’Epargne or Ticket Restaurant. The service works with any contactless payment terminal in the country and with several retailers.
Codenames: , 9to5Mac notes. The alleged codenames for the iPhone 7 models coming out later this year are “Sonora” and “Dos Palos.” Evan Blass, the source of the leak, claims that there will only be two iPhone 7 devices released this Fall. This counteracts some Apple rumors that have claimed there will be a third model, rumored to be an iPhone 7 Pro, launching alongside the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
Haptic: , reports AppleInsider. The patent reveals details about a new haptic system that would be able to give specific responses on vertical and horizontal axes. This would require two haptic motors that would be connected via a central control processor. The two motors would also be able to switch their tasks depending on how a person holds their device. The patent mentions use in mobile technology, which could hint at a future in the iPhone or Watch.
