Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of iPhone 8 battery problems. Today, we’ll look at that and other for Friday.

iPhone 8 Battery: , reports BGR. These two cases have to do with batteries in the devices that expanded beyond their original size. The first case comes from Taiwan. The owner of an iPhone 8 had the battery expand out and pop the front of the device off while charging. The second comes from Japan. This case saw the iPhone 8 arrive at the customer’s home in this state. AAPL is already investigating the matter.
Regaind Acquisition:
, TechCrunch notes. Regaind is a company from France that has a focus on photos and facial recognition. The acquisition reportedly took place earlier this year, but no announcement was made. The technology that Regaind is working on is able to manage and sort photos by looking for common elements in them. It can also look at faces to determine a person’s age, emotions and gender.
FM Radio: , reports 9to5Mac. A statement from the company says that it is unable to activate FM radio features in its iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 line. The reason? These devices don’t contain FM radio chips or antenna. While there are FM chips in older iPhone devices, it doesn’t appear that AAPL has any interest in activating them. The tech company was facing pressure from the FCC to activate such features to help owners in emergency situations.
