Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of an extra update for macOS High Sierra. Today, we’ll look at that and other for Thursday.
macOS High Sierra Update: , reports 9to5Mac. This new update fixes several bugs and issues that were present in the previous version. Most notable of these problems was one that had to do with passwords for APFS drives. This problem had the passwords being stored in plain text. Also, when a person sought a hint to the password, the password was just shown instead.
iPhone X FCC: , MacRumors notes. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has given its approval to the device. This means that it passed all of the tests that it needed to for it to be sold in the country. The approval comes roughly one month prior to the launch date for the smartphone. Preorders for the iPhone X will start on Oct. 25, 2017.
iOS Edge: , reports AppleInsider. The new web browser was added for iPhone by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and lets users easily switch between the device and a computer. This is possible by having websites in use on the phone sent to the PC version of the web browser. This requires the person to be running Windows 10 with the 10 Fall Creator’s Update Insider Preview.
