Leading the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of iPhone preorders starting. Today, we’ll look at that and other for Thursday.
iPhone Preorders: , reports AppleInsider. The online store lists three different iPhone devices on its website. This includes the iPhone Xs, iPhoneXs Max (Plus) and the iPhone 9. The Xs models feature OLED screens, while the iPhone 9 has an LCD display. There are also storage options to choose from, but no other information about the devices is available.
Law Enforcement: ,
MacRumors notes. This new web portal will act as a hub that allows law enforcement official across the world to get in to contact with the company more easily. The creation of this web portal is in response to a report from the Center for Strategic and International Studies. This report notes that collection of digital evidence in police cases is difficult for many law enforcement officers. This new portal should make this easier on them while still protecting users’ private data.
Shazam: , reports 9to5Mac. The tech company now has approval from regulators in the European Union to move forward with its acquisition of the music identification app. It likely won’t take long to complete this deal and bring the service into its fold. We don’t know how AAPL plans to use Shazam, but integration into its music streaming service seems like a strong possibility.
